Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Transform our approach to winning new business, focusing on a proactive and structured strategy aligned with the Firmโs Sales and Marketing Cycle.
- Evolve our business development strategies by bringing fresh perspectives and insights from your experience.
- Support and capitalize on private equity relationships and intermediary relations, establishing a key account management framework for PE houses.
- Champion the adoption of the new CRM system (Dynamics) across the Private Capital (PC) Audit practice.
- Oversee reporting and monitoring of KPIs related to the sales pipeline.
- Assist audit leaders, the Head of G2M, and PC partners in identifying and pursuing new markets and targets, driving BD efforts.
- Hold PC partners accountable for their actions and target development, flagging emerging issues or lack of progress.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to inform go-to-market plans and ensure effective leverage.
- Develop propositions for the PC market through collaboration with assurance, tax, and advisory practices, providing insights into relevant business hooks.
- Oversee a XLOS approach to PC targets, working with BD in Entrepreneurial Services, Regions, Industries, and other Service Lines to create synergies.
- Support building a sales culture within the Private Capital practice through regular communication and coordination.
- Identify and deliver BD, sales, and account management training needs in collaboration with the G2M and Learning & Innovation teams.
Candidate Profile
To be right for this role, you should have:
- Experience in professional services.
- A background in marketing, BD, account management, or sales operations.
- Experience managing stakeholders at a senior level.
- Interest or knowledge of Audit (beneficial but not critical).
The role is flexible regarding location but involves a national remit with potential travel to different offices.
Desired Skills
While not mandatory, itโs advantageous if you have:
- Understanding of lead generation, sales, and client management activities.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Drive and initiative, with the ability to work with ambiguity.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics).
