We are looking to recruit a Project Manager for a leading online retailer who will lead the delivery of a variety of different projects aligned to their strategic roadmap, working with Agile and Waterfall working models, using both in-house and third-party development teams.
The Role:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with the project sponsor and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate project resources.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives; manage change requests.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors as needed.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and create recommendations for future improvements.
- Contribute to the Project Management Centre of Excellence as part of the PMO Methodology.
- Implement agreed best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Project management certifications, ideally Waterfall and Agile.
- Significant project management experience including IT and non-IT projects.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, G-Suite).
- Experience of working with third-party suppliers and in-house software development teams.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience highly desirable.
