Based in Letchworth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager tasked with the day-to-day running of our centre support teams and field teams of a long-established engineering service-based company dealing with many blue-chip customers. The business employs around 50 people working in both the reactive and planned maintenance service arena, sitting under the umbrella of a global group with a turnover of 2 Billion euros.

The Operations Manager will report to and be fully supported by the MD of our parent company within the UK-based group, a company that supports many of the ancillary functions through shared resource allowing the successful candidate to concentrate on overseeing the day-to-day operations which include:

  • Inbound work order management
  • Schedulers – Reactive and planned works
  • Technical Support Team
  • Field Operations Managers
  • Field engineering team (c.25) – Utilisation & performance
  • Planning and delivery of work orders

The position offers the opportunity to help further drive the progress of the business along with the senior leadership team, in conjunction with support from its sister company, whilst enhancing operational performance. Experience in the service sector is not essential; indeed, a fresh outlook from a different industry may be advantageous. However, applicants must be currently working at Operations Manager or equivalent level and live within a 20-mile radius of Letchworth.
