Principal Consultant SCM Duration: 12 month PAYE contract Location: London Project Department Description: Global Business Support procurement, Third Party Business and project support services with particular focus on renewable specific services such as Studies, Permitting/Consenting, Owners Engineering services, Reviews, Verifications, etc. Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for providing strategic and operational procurement and contract management aligned with category strategies. This includes ensuring compliance with corporate governance, mandates, laws, and regulations through developing and documenting scopes, procurement strategies, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contract negotiations, approvals, award, contract management, claims, warranties, and purchasing. Manage projects and stakeholders effectively through collaboration and clear roles with customers, decision-makers, suppliers, and partners. The goal is to secure commercial, effective contracts and procedures that enable timely, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of goods and services. Competency Requirements: Experience in establishing and managing agreements related to procurement activities. Commitment to safety, security, and sustainability in procurement processes. Ability to establish specific procurement strategies based on business needs, category strategies, and market input. Experience in producing and issuing requests for information (RFI). Capability to establish bidders lists, prepare evaluation procedures, and manage enquiries. Skilled in handling bid clarifications and conducting negotiations. Proficiency in evaluation, agreement award, and partner approval processes. Experience with agreement start-up activities, including system implementation and risk-based follow-up planning. Ability to manage performance and relationships, including ensuring correct contract use, monitoring KPIs, and handling contractual issues such as variations, amendments, and terminations.
