Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to continue our partnership with our key client and assist with their current hiring within their busy finance team. Based in South Lanarkshire, they are a dynamic and growing business based organisation who are in a really exciting phase or reorganisation and growth. They are seeking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their finance team as a Credit Control Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in credit control, with full training and development provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the management of customer accounts and ensuring timely payments
- Supporting the credit control team with chasing overdue payments
- Helping maintain accurate records of customer communications
- Handling customer queries related to accounts and payments
- Assisting with issuing statements, invoices, and reminders
- Supporting with credit checks for new customers
- Providing administrative support to the wider finance team as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- A keen interest in finance and credit control
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in an office (ideally within finance) or is an advantage
- Own transport is preferable due to the location of the site
