We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Wexham.
Our practice offers a small, welcoming environment with a loyal client base and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. As an RVN, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the clinical team, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Located on the edge of Slough and just a short drive from Windsor, the practice is well connected, offering easy access to London and the M25.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting as soon as possible. The role is full-time over 4 days per week. You’ll also be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at our Medivet Watford 24-hour hospital.

Role Accountabilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
