We are looking for a proactive and dependable Inventory Accountant to work in a dynamic accounting department. Our company is a leading global distributor of network, security and electrical solutions and we are seeking someone with good analytical skills to maintain the integrity of the inventory records within our EMEA region. The individual will work closely with other accountants, business partners and key stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
Main responsibilities/Key goals
- Monthly reconciliation of inventory records to General Ledger for each stocking location within EMEA.
- Processing of monthly Journals.
- Identify cause of differences and making adjustments in both the inventory and accounting systems as appropriate.
- Business partnering with other departments i.e. Accounts Payable, Supply Chain / Purchasing, Operations and other Finance groups to ensure controls and procedures are followed and to assist and improve efficiencies where possible.

- Oracle – Fusion Accounting Hub
Qualifications/education required
- Previous experience working in a financial environment.
- Previous experience working in an inventory related setting dealing with extensive volumes of data preferred but not essential.
- Work experience in a multi-national environment including currencies.
Necessary skills, knowledge and experience
- Confident pc user – experience of working with databases and using excel functionality. Advanced excel user with good experience building and using lookups functions and pivot tables.
- Knowledge of and experience with large computerised operational & accounting systems.
- Account and finance reconciliations and problem solving skills are essential tools to be able to perform the role.
