Job Title: Mechanical Electrical Engineer Location: Leeds Hours: 40 per week (Mon–Fri, 8am–4:30pm) Salary: Based on experience A position is open for a Mechanical Electrical Engineer to work within a commercial building environment in Leeds. This role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and system diagnostics across key building services. The Mechanical Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, water distribution, and Building Management Systems (BMS). Tasks include fault finding, compliance checks, equipment testing, and supervising subcontractors on-site. Key requirements for the Mechanical Electrical Engineer include: Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance Electrical qualifications (18th Edition preferred) Strong mechanical fault diagnosis skills Familiarity with PPM (to BESA SFG20 standard) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Good communication skills and awareness of health and safety regulations The Mechanical Electrical Engineer will also ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with statutory regulations, and a commitment to continuous service improvement.
