A leading financial services company that specialises in private wealth and asset management is seeking to hire a Senior Employment Counsel to support the wider legal team and the wider business.

The role will have full autonomy over all employment matters relating to the business and work closely with the General Counsel, Senior Management and the HR team on all employment matters. This is a very broad position as it will cover the full spectrum of employment work. Moreover the company is highly acquisitive so the role will include corporate M&A and the associated employment issues that result. Therefore you should expect to advise on:

  • discrimination, unfair dismissal, TUPE, redundancy, restrictive covenants and other HR related issues
  • employment litigation, tribunals, mediation and other dispute resolution forums
  • complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances and workplace investigations.
  • employment contracts, severance agreements, settlement agreements, consultant agreements and other employment related documentation

Candidates applying should possess the following:

  • At least 5 years\’ PQE from a highly reputable law firm or have in house experience, or both.
  • Full understanding and knowledge of the breadth of employment related matters, as described above.
  • A strong team player and capable of advising at a very senior level.
  • Outstanding communication skills and able to to influence decisions on a commercial level.
