We are seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Fundraising & Investor Relations to join our team in a part-time, remote capacity. This critical role involves spearheading our fundraising efforts, engaging with investors, and securing financial support to drive our mission forward. The Director of Fundraising & Investor Relations will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and nurturing relationships with investors, including venture capital firms, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other stakeholders with a keen interest in robotics and sustainable waste management. As a key player in our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring we have the necessary capital to accelerate our growth. This is an equity-based position until fundraising is successfully achieved, making it ideal for an individual with a vested interest in the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan, targeting pre-seed and seed-stage investors specialised in robotics and/or waste management in the UK and the US.
  • Cultivate relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, angel investors, and corporate partners to secure funding opportunities.
  • Lead investor relations, including portfolio reviews, board meetings, and regular updates to ensure strategic alignment and continued financial support.
  • Represent TeknTrash Robotics in high-profile pitches, investor meetings, industry conferences, and networking events.
  • Actively engage with accelerators, incubators, and industry experts to build credibility and strengthen the company’s fundraising position.
  • Create compelling investment materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and business plans, to effectively communicate our vision and value proposition to investors.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations on financial planning and fundraising strategies based on market trends and investor feedback.

Qualifications

  • Strong passion for robotics, sustainability, and innovative waste management solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising funds from venture capitalists, family offices, and equity-based investors, with an established network in the investment community.
  • Solid background in corporate finance, financial modelling, and fundraising strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver persuasive pitches, presentations, and investment proposals.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a very fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • High level of motivation, adaptability, and resilience in securing investment opportunities.
  • Experience in fundraising for technology startups, particularly in robotics or sustainability sectors, is a strong plus.

Additional Information

This is an equity-based position until successful fundraising is achieved. The Director of Fundraising & Investor Relations must have the financial flexibility to support themselves during the fundraising process. Equity compensation will be granted based on the level of investment secured. This is a remote position, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with the team and investors.
