Our client is seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Cheshire as they grow their technological skills. This is a unique chance to work with several technical teams to automate and simplify systems while driving the optimisation and scalability of state-of-the-art infrastructure. This position is ideal for you if you have a strong interest in automation, cloud-native solutions, and maintaining system dependability. Key Responsibilities Encourage the creation and implementation of technical plans that improve and expand infrastructure from the very beginning to its complete implementation. Develop, implement, and improve scalable distributed systems in close collaboration with operations teams, product managers, and software developers. Engage in every aspect of the infrastructure lifecycle—from idea and design through implementation, monitoring, testing, and ongoing refinement. To guarantee effective, dependable operations, combine CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure-as-code technologies (such as AWS CDK or comparable), orchestration (Kubernetes), and containerisation (Docker). Provide effective and scalable answers to challenging technological problems while making sure that systems are reliable, safe, and flexible enough to meet changing business requirements. Promote a culture of ongoing learning, impart your expertise to colleagues, and spearhead process improvements that bolster operational excellence. Requirements 5+ years of experience in positions like DevOps, Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or comparable positions with a track record of influencing large-scale systems. Strong practical experience managing cloud infrastructure and a working understanding of the main cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Competent in infrastructure automation using code and CI/CD pipelines, as well as containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven capacity to create, implement, and manage distributed systems that are scalable, safe, and dependable. A quick learner with a proactive, solution-focused mindset who thrives in fast-paced settings and welcomes change.
