As a Class 1 Tramper driver, youll be responsible for:
β Making bulk collections & deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide
β Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles on an agreed shift pattern
β Delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations efficiently and safely
β Completing a minimum of 4 nights per week, sleeping in your vehicle at one of our secure locations
β Covering a set region surrounding your base depot
β Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure roadworthiness
β Accurately completing all required paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
β Adhering to all UK road traffic laws and regulations, including drivers hours rules
β Maintaining excellent communication with the transport office, customers, and other drivers
β Representing DPD professionally at all times, providing exceptional customer service
β Reporting any incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly and accurately
β Participating in regular safety briefings and training sessions as required
β Assisting with loading and unloading of goods when necessary, following proper manual handling procedures
β Ensuring the security of the vehicle and its load at all times
β Adapting to changing route requirements and weather conditions as needed
What we are looking for:
β A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
β Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
β A valid UK CPC Card
β A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
