Social network you want to login/join with: Job Title: Quarry Manager We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to manage the Middleton Quarry in Middleton-in-Teesdale. This role will report to the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safe and efficient management and operation of the quarry in compliance with the Quarries Regulations 1999. Oversee the production of high PSV and sand & gravel aggregates. Demonstrate knowledge of crushing and screening using static plant, maintenance activities on both fixed and mobile plant, and experience in blasting. Plan and organise quarrying operations effectively. Implement planned preventative maintenance schemes. Monitor and reduce energy consumption. Ensure continuous improvement of quarry operations. Manage teams of Breedon staff and contractors safely. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Hold a QCF level 6 (or NVQ level 4/5) in Health, Safety & Environmental management within the extractives industry. Possess strong leadership skills to promote a positive team environment. Communicate effectively across functions within the business. Experience holding a regulation 8.1 appointment and proof of competencies related to it. Be comfortable with a hands-on role to promote health and safety and focus on customer needs.
