ROLE SUMMARY As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) working with AWS and New Relic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You will influence the monitoring and observability patterns and processes across engineering and technical operations to support the highest levels of uptime and developer adoption. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) working at ENSEK your primary responsibilities will include: Implementing best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response using New Relic and other tools. Designing, building, and maintaining cost-effective, reliable, and scalable AWS infrastructure. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks and reliability issues. Experience working with FinOps objectives Conducting post-incident reviews to analyse root causes and implement preventive measures. Automating routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Participating in an on-call rotation to respond to system outages and emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, infrastructure as code (IaC), and experience with New Relic or similar monitoring tools. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this role. The following technical skills are essential: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog. Expertise in setting up and managing alerts, dashboards, and logging using Elastic. Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and performance optimization in AWS. Proficiency in AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, etc. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and ECS. Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and testing applications in AWS. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement proactive measures. Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to work well under pressure in an on-call environment.
