This is a module based on current educational theory but is interactive and with a practical focus drawing on participants’ previous experience of learning. It is an elective module for students interested in teaching in various settings (e.g., Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Further Education, Adult Education, HE, and private tutoring). Some students will have already been accepted onto PGCE courses. The Module Leader should have a broad and varied teaching background with knowledge of effective teaching and learning principles of literacy and oracy across different settings.
