What is a PMO? A PMO (Project Management Office) sits at the heart of project success. Acting as the engine room of project delivery, the PMO ensures that large-scale business projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality, whilst identifying and reducing risks along the way.
As a Graduate PMO Analyst, you’ll help set and maintain project standards, support governance, track progress, manage budgets, coordinate stakeholders and provide strategic reporting to senior management. Think of the PMO as the structure behind successful project delivery and you’ll be a key part of making that happen.
Your Role as a PMO Analyst
You’ll be involved in a range of exciting tasks that could include:
- Governance & Process: Helping define the frameworks that structure large projects
- Planning & Control: Updating project plans, milestone charts and timelines
- Business Case & Budgeting: Supporting clear business case definition and tracking programme budgets.
- Risk Management: Maintaining RAID logs and identifying risks to delivery
- Reporting & Quality Assurance: Compiling project performance updates, tracking deliverables and ensuring high quality standards
- Stakeholder Engagement: Arranging meetings, communicating progress and building trusted relationships across teams.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (all subjects considered)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Analytical thinking with great attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and an interest in how businesses deliver change
- A passion for driving transformation and continuous improvement
- A proactive attitude with the resilience to tackle challenges head-on
- Willingness to work on-site with clients 5 days per week
- Bonus if you’re familiar with project methodologies like Agile or Waterfall, but not essential — we’ll train you up!
