A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Junior Paralegal to join its busy Family Law department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in family law to develop their legal career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to fee earners in the Family Law team
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Draft and prepare court bundles and legal documentation
- Maintain and organise electronic and physical case files
- Track billable hours and assist in invoice preparation
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and book meeting rooms
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, and third parties in person and via telephone/email
- Conduct legal research as required
- Manage post, scanning, copying, and faxing of documents
- Ensure accurate file opening, closing, and storage according to procedures
- Keep client contact information and key dates up to date
- Support financial aspects of casework and maintain file compliance
- Stay up to date on family law practices and legal developments
- Support additional administrative and casework tasks as directed by fee earners or management
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Understanding of family law procedures and legal form completion
