This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing senior team focused on providing discretionary investment management to HNW clients, as well as driving new client acquisition.

The Role:

As the Team Leader, you will take the helm of a talented investment management team, steering them toward success in client acquisition, relationship management and investment management. You’ll also personally manage relationships with HNW clients, overseeing their discretionary portfolios while collaborating with external advisors and professional services firms to generate leads & create referring partnerships. Working closely with the firm’s Business Development Team, you’ll maximize pitch opportunities and help craft innovative strategies to attract new clients. The firm’s Central Research Team, led by the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), delivers world-class research output, freeing you and your team from research responsibilities. Instead, your focus will be on leveraging this insight to appropriately manage client portfolios, whilst also contributing to investment committee discussions, and driving the firm’s growth agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deepen relationships with HNW clients, ensuring their discretionary portfolios align with their goals.
  • Drive new business initiatives, identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop creative strategies for client acquisition and retention.
  • Work with external advisors and professional services firms to generate high-quality leads.
  • Partner with the Business Development Team to maximise pitches and secure new business.
  • Contribute to investment committee discussions, bringing a client-focused perspective to the table.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience in private client investment management.
  • A strong track record in client relationship management, particularly with HNW individuals.
  • Experienced managing discretionary portfolios and delivering tailored client solutions.
  • Exceptional business development skills with a flair for identifying and developing growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward shared goals.
  • Experience working with and contributing to investment committees is a plus.
