We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing client. This role is crucial for producing high-quality stainless steel and mild steel products using TIG welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating and welding, with the ability to work from engineering drawings and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Fabricate components using tools such as Press Brake, Saw, Bender, and Guillotine from engineering drawings.
- Perform Tack and finish TIG weld on stainless steel products/tube and box section, with occasional mild steel work.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure accuracy in fabrication and resolve any issues that arise during the process.
- Weld thin gauge materials and ensure precision in all fabrications.
- Be available for evening and weekend work as required by business needs.
- Support other team members, ensuring all activities are safe and well-trained.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company health and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in TIG Welding, particularly with stainless steel pipe and box section.
- Capable of reading and working from engineering drawings.
- Experienced in welding thin gauge materials.
- Skilled in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Experience with mechanical tools such as Drill, Bender, and Guillotine.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Education to at least GCSE level standard.
