NES Fircroft is partnering with a major Engineering & Services client to provide an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for a major Nuclear project based in Warrington. Hybrid working arrangements are available. The project duration is 3 years, with a minimum of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Role
Senior EC&I Engineer on a Sellafield Nuclear Project, providing technical expertise, delegating tasks as required, and potentially responsible for delivering a key segment of the project.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technically responsible for all Electrical, C&I, and Telecoms engineering work, including allocation and supervision. Delegation of supervision and checking activities will depend on project size and competence of personnel.
- Formulating resolutions and supervising technically challenging or high-profile issues, with support from the Consultant Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Project Engineering Manager. Effective communication with clients and senior management is essential.
- Supervising, reviewing, and checking C&I and Telecoms activities, including philosophies, specifications, shutdown cause & effect charts, schedules, drawings & diagrams, datasheets, and technical requisitions for long lead items.
- Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Engaging in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews, providing necessary C&I and Telecoms engineering input, and supporting the closure of actions.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Degree qualification in Electrical or C&I discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is preferred.
- Desirable: TUV Rheinland SIS Functional Safety certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of general engineering experience, with at least 3 years in the Nuclear sector focusing on design office and field engineering.
- Proficient computer skills, including databases, spreadsheets, and engineering design programs.
- High initiative and proactive approach to managing workflow to meet objectives.
