In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Prevent market and increasing awareness and adoption of Phasix mesh for preventing incisional hernias among high-risk patients undergoing abdominal surgery. BD Interventional (BDI) focus on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions aiming at advancing the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures. Main responsibilities will include: Collaborate with ICBs, commissioning bodies, and KOLs to develop key initiatives, payment structures, and educational programs for Phasix mesh adoption Identify and develop KOLs for new applications, such as Colorectal and General Surgery, to expand the Phasix market Work closely with the AR+R UK team and Marketing to administer peer-to-peer programs, centers of excellence, clinical symposia, and advisory boards Refine and launch patient and healthcare provider education strategies and collateral to ensure safe and efficacious adoption of Phasix Drive market development activities to increase awareness and adoption of Phasix mesh among surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare systems Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective business strategies for Phasix mesh Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and clinical teams, to align on market development initiatives Develop and deliver compelling presentations and training materials to educate healthcare professionals on the benefits and proper use of Phasix mesh About you Candidate must have previous experience working with ICB’s and understanding of commissioning in the NHS. Proven experience in the General Surgery/Abdominal Wall /Hernia industry or a clinical/market development experience is preferred but not crucial. A degree in a Life Science (or equivalent) or a strong experience in the medical device industry Candidate must be a strong team player with high medical ethics, be available for travel, and show a real talent for medical device sales in the appropriate environment. Motivation, perseverance, and creativity are a definitive plus. Experienced and successful KOL interaction and leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business & surgical market is required. Proficiency in Microsoft tools Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint supporting insightful business analysis and reporting. Ability to analyze market and sales trends as they relate to the product portfolio. An advantage to already have in place good surgical clinical knowledge and relationships with surgeon thought leaders. This job requires at least 50% of mobility across the country.
