Overview
Civil Engineers All Levels – Water Infrastructure, Drainage or Flood Risk
Due to an increasing workload, RPS is seeking to recruit Civil Engineers, Senior Civil Engineers and Principal Engineers with experience in design of major civil engineering schemes including water infrastructure, drainage and flood alleviation schemes. Posts will be based in our Belfast, Glasgow or Edinburgh office.

About The Team
Our specialist engineers and scientists play a market leading role in the development of national strategies, feasibility studies and the design and delivery of water drainage and sustainable flood risk management solutions. Applying the latest technology, innovative techniques and extensive experience, we connect clients with the information, advice and action they need as we plan for an uncertain future.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in Civil Engineering Projects and experience in Water Infrastructure and Drainage
- Experience or desire to work in the design and development of river and coastal engineering schemes, civil engineering and drainage schemes and natural flood management
- An ability to work through the stages of outline and detailed design, construction management and handover to the client is desirable
- Preferably experience working with a diverse range of UK and Republic of Ireland clients
- Use of packages such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D and MX Design would be an advantage
- Experience in the use of Project Management software (MS Project) would be an advantage
- Excellent Communications skills, with the ability to communicate with clients and other professionals
- Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team level
- Good work ethic and willingness to deliver as part of a team
Qualifications
- An MEng/BEng or equivalent degree in field of Civil Engineering or similar, or equivalent
- Chartered Membership or near Chartered for more senior posts
