Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the nuclear sector however not mandatory, with a preference for those experienced in decommissioning projects. Applicants must either hold NRS clearance or be eligible to obtain it. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a variety of key tasks: Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring all engineering tasks are completed on time and within budget. Review and approve engineering drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and completeness. Organize and prioritize work tasks effectively, managing teams to achieve project milestones. Evaluate and interpret technical data to inform design decisions and ensure project objectives are met. Engineering Drawing Oversight, Calculations and Documentation: As part of the Engineering Drawing Oversight, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing various types of technical diagrams including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, General Assembly Drawings, Component Drawings, Mechanical Sequence Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and Equipment Layout Diagrams. As part of Engineering Calculations Production, you will be responsible for producing various engineering calculations, including structural calculations, pipe and duct sizing calculations, stability calculations, and PD5500 calculations. As part of Engineering Document Creation, you will be responsible for generating a variety of essential documents, including plant and equipment schedules, ARM assessments, technical specifications, design substantiation reports, method statements, risk assessments, and outline installation method statements.
