Your Role: We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join The Times Media team to work with development teams to translate product visions into requirements and solutions that can be successfully delivered and will help enhance the reader experience. We are currently building out interactive capabilities across Puzzles and capabilities which will help with how we tell stories to our readers. Business Analysts are at the heart of our most exciting initiatives to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementations. Day to day you will: Engage in business analysis activities that ensure that we continue to develop and improve our widely recognised media products to support the immediate and longer term business needs Conduct in-depth analysis during the discovery phase on prioritised initiatives. This may also include working with dependent tech teams to understand and illustrate how work sequences together across larger cross-team deliverables Ensuring requirements are broken down and clearly articulated into well defined epics and user stories that can be prioritised according to their clearly outlined business value Facilitating the delivery phase and helping to define any new or changing requirements in a clear and transparent way Ensure there is feedback to the team and key business stakeholders when key stories are delivered which helps to articulate the value that has been created. You should also expect to actively research best practice and strategic direction within the industry and find ways to share this back into the team. Part of your role will also include contributing and maintaining the quality of BA standards and practices as part of the BA community. What we’re looking for from you: Experience in eliciting requirements through various techniques which can include workshops, interviews and shadowing. Experience in creating comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and use cases, to clearly communicate requirements (outlining business value, risks, assumptions and constraints) to development teams and business stakeholders where required. Experience facilitating conversations outlining potential solutions and prioritising options based on business value or required outcomes.
