Job Description SDET – Senior Test Automation Consultants – Hybrid / London – 2 days a week – Must demonstrate advanced skills in Playwright and TypeScript Permanent Opportunities (The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years address history in the UK. Sadly we are unable to offer sponsorship or the transfer of visas) We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer (SDET) who will be responsible for both functional and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have ADVANCED expertise in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and should be capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation suits & frameworks. Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. Ensure automation scripts are optimized for performance, reusability, and maintainability. Functional & Automation Testing: Conduct both manual and automated testing to validate business-critical functionalities. Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications. End-to-End Testing & CI/CD Integration: Automate and execute end-to-end, UI, API, and regression testing. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless execution. Cross-Browser & Cross-Platform Testing: Ensure applications work seamlessly across different browsers, devices, and operating systems. Leverage Playwright capabilities for headless and headed browser testing. Test Data & Reporting: Implement robust test data management strategies using JSON, Excel, or databases. Generate detailed test reports using Allure, Extent Reports, or Playwrightâ€s built-in reporting tools. Collaboration & Agile Practices: Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define testing strategies and resolve issues. Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives) and drive quality initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Good experience in test automation and functional testing. Strong proficiency in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in testing single-page applications (SPAs) and dynamic web apps. Hands-on experience with Mocha, Jest, or any other test framework. Expertise in Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools. Strong understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API). Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber (Optional but Preferred).
