Job Details Our Corporate team uses their specialist expertise to offer bespoke insurance solutions to our largest and most complex clients in the UK and Ireland. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our team in any of our UK or Ireland offices. In this role, you will be involved from the early stages of client engagement through close collaboration with colleagues in Risk Control, Claim, and other stakeholders both in the UK and the US. You’ll be responsible for triaging new business opportunities, developing prospects, leading technical underwriting, and helping deliver Travelers’ bespoke customer proposition. You’ll manage an allocation of large cross-class renewal accounts and serve as a primary contact for regional underwriting teams, providing technical support for new business and retention with our broking partners. Travelers Europe offers flexibility for hybrid work arrangements, typically three days in the office and two days at home, with possible adjustments. This role is eligible for a £2,500 new joiner bonus, with additional referral bonuses possible. Key Responsibilities Participate as an advisory/referral point for responsible product development within the Corporate division. Engage actively in key case underwriting and new business development. Mentor and coach underwriting staff to ensure standards and profitability goals are met. Develop and leverage broker/client relationships through visibility and disciplined sales management. Act as a large case expert internally and externally. Assist in sector strategy development. Encourage team achievement of underwriting, sales, and production goals. Maintain collaborative relationships across departments. Ensure policies and accounts are underwritten in compliance with standards. Demonstrate superior customer service and strategic broker engagement. Perform other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Profile Strong analytical, judgment, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills. Proven ability in broker planning and engagement. Advanced customer focus and broker interaction skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Relationship management skills; ACII preferred. Must Have Experience in underwriting Property and Casualty classes. Experience managing large UK Corporate Clients. Benefits Private Medical Insurance with options for dependents.
