We are currently looking for an Ecommerce Trader to play a crucial role in our team. The role will be responsible for the onsite performance of a global, multi-million-pound generating website. The role requires you to have a comprehensive understanding of product, technical and onsite trading best practices. The position is responsible for helping to optimise Lyle & Scott’s product offering across all markets, influencing the end-to-end customer journey to increase conversion, drive sales and build the brand.

  • Own the day-to-day onsite admin of Lyle & Scott’s global site, taking responsibility for product merchandising, visuals, commercial performance, as well as shared responsibility of AOV, UPT and onsite conversion.
  • Working closely with merchandising and product development, manage the business unit’s seasonal range plan, ensuring all products are available, launched and accompanying information is present, relevant, and up to date.
  • Create and manage the seasonal product file used to launch our seasonal products onsite, making sure all products are mapped and show correctly.
  • Implement the online trading strategy across digital channels, come up with trading solutions & onsite opportunities to improve customer experience & increase profit/margin.
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of KPIs, creating relevant reports to illustrate and support actions to optimise trade, such as proposing solutions to the wider team to boost poor sellers/optimise bestsellers to increase conversion rate.
  • Execute the ecommerce trading calendar, ensuring alignment with the brand, customer experience and merchandising teams so the site is complimenting any activity.
  • Make sure all on site content plans are aligned with the ecommerce marketing calendar, making sure customer pages (home and landing) strike a balance between creative and commercial - challenging and driving all opportunities to improve this balance.
  • Responsible for submitting and leading the unit’s promotional plans, ensuring promotions and incentives are delivered and in line with wider business objectives where necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience in the retail, fashion/lifestyle sectors is preferred.
  • Knowledge of product performance, sell through and onsite merchandising practices.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar online merchandising or trading roles.
  • Experience of Shopify+ or similar CMS systems is preferred, as you will need to be comfortable uploading products, exporting and building automated reports.
  • An understanding of seasonal calendars and product launches.
  • Demonstrable strong excel skills, with the ability to perform a variety of functions and lookups, is a must.
  • Can adhere to tight timelines and ability to be adaptable considering changing commercial forces.
  • Office-based, with occasional travel to industry events where needed.
