Following the recent redesign of the Housing Advice and Allocations Service we have an exciting opportunity within our Housing Options Team, based within our Housing Needs Service. This is a new role, and you will have the opportunity help shape the Housing Options service as we move forward with the implementation of the redesign. You will supervise a small team comprising of 6 Housing Options Officers on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for achieving performance outcomes and delivering a high-quality service. You will provide support and advice to team members as well as liaise with partners and external agencies to ensure that all homeless functions are undertaken in a comprehensive and robust manner and that they comply with all legal requirements. You will also undertake S202 homeless reviews in accordance with part VII of the Housing Act as amended You will need a minimum of three years’ experience of working within a homeless related housing service and have experience of managing a housing related team. The role will be challenging and to be successful you will need to be well organised, manage conflicting demands with a strong focus on delivering successful outcomes. The role may involve both home working and working from the office, flexible arrangements can be agreed.
