About The Role
Working with our Cambridge based client, you will act as a key support function for the Laboratory team, working within the Research and Development of innovative Biopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage microbiological media, reagents, and clean glassware supplies
- Handle laboratory waste disposal efficiently
- Maintain compressed gas and liquid nitrogen supplies, including cylinder changes and cryo storage vessel refills
- Manage laboratory stock through ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies
- Conduct routine laboratory and facilities checks
- Coordinate with and accompany maintenance engineers during on-site visits
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this role will hold some laboratory experience outside of education. This could include industry based support experience, summer work during degree, industry placement, or similar.
- Laboratory based experience including reagent and media preparation.
- Experience in wider support areas; Laboratory consumable ordering, Goods In, general Laboratory maintenance.
- Proficiency in preparing sterile laboratory supplies, particularly microbiological media
- Strong stock management capabilities.
This role is expected to last for 6 months but has the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.
