The Opportunity This role presents a lucrative opportunity to drive advertising sales across both print and multimedia formats, with a strong emphasis on our premium print media. What distinguishes this position is the unique and highly engaged audience you will be selling to — spanning both B2B clients such as instrument makers, music educators, and retailers, and B2C advertisers targeting dedicated classical music consumers. You will be at the forefront of growing and nurturing client relationships, offering tailored advertising solutions that leverage the strength and heritage of The Strad’s print presence alongside innovative digital advertising opportunities. This role offers significant scope for sales growth, supported by a respected brand and a passionate, niche market. Key Responsibilities Account Management Manage and nurture relationships with key clients to ensure long-term success. Serve as the main point of contact for client accounts, addressing needs, issues, and opportunities. Develop account plans to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Monitor account health and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Sales & Business Development Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities in target markets Lead consultative sales processes to understand client goals and deliver tailored solutions. Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals. Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with internal teams. Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience (3+ years) in B2B and B2C publishing sales (print & digital advertising experience essential). Experience in dealing with international clients. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong relationship-building, communication (verbal and written), and negotiation skills. Ability to understand client needs and translate them into effective solutions. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools. A keen interest in classical music would be beneficial. Multilingual (Spanish, German and Italian) would be advantageous but not essential.
