We are seeking a Solution Consultant to join a key client and lead client-facing engagements in designing, configuring, and delivering investment platform solutions tailored to institutional and retail wealth management clients. You will translate complex business needs into platform-based solutions and serve as the link between clients, internal stakeholders, and technical delivery teams.
This is a hands-on, strategic role requiring strong domain expertise in platform operating models, regulatory frameworks, and wealth management propositions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key solution components including functional documentation, platform configuration, and business transformation consultancy across major platform implementations or enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with clients to define business objectives, success criteria, and transformation goals
- Design Target Operating Models (TOMs) and align them with platform capabilities
- Present and explain platform features and workflows to both business and technical stakeholders
- Lead requirements gathering, solution documentation, and functional handovers
- Own the platform configuration process, ensuring end-to-end alignment with business and technical needs
- Support platform integration planning, including third-party interfaces, data feeds, and reporting
- Provide business transformation consultancy, advising on process optimisation, platform adoption, and change delivery
- Facilitate training, knowledge transfer, and walkthroughs for client teams
- Act as a compliance adviser, ensuring platform solutions align with regulatory expectations
- Collaborate with analysts and developers to ensure high-quality solution delivery
- Conduct solution reviews, walkthroughs, and test validations (e.g., TDD, defect triage)
- Support business readiness planning, SLAs, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live phases
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consulting, solution design, or business analysis within financial services
- Strong knowledge of investment/wealth platforms, pensions, or insurance systems
- Proven experience designing TOMs, building business cases, or supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Confident in client-facing roles with a background in workshops, stakeholder engagement, and training delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong documentation and presentation skills
- Understanding of regulatory environments (e.g., MiFID II, FATCA, CRS)
- Proficiency in process modelling (e.g., BPMN2), platform mapping, and integration planning
- Familiarity with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies
- Background in integration of acquired platforms or product onboarding
- Technical awareness of APIs, data architecture, or reporting tools
- Certifications in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or related fields
