They are looking for someone who blends hands-on technical expertise with a strong understanding of ecommerce metrics and stakeholder needs.
The Role
The Analytics Engineer will maintain and optimise a modern data stack built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping ensure data is accessible, high quality, and driving decisions across marketing, product, operations, finance and customer experience, among others. You’ll work closely with the growth and product teams, providing web analytics support using GA360/GA4 data in BigQuery, and enabling self-serve reporting in business tools.
You’ll also contribute to an emerging AI and automation roadmap—building lightweight tools, enhancing process efficiency, and helping the team test and scale innovations that drive measurable value.
The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for:
- Building and managing ELT pipelines and analytics infrastructure (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Sigma, etc.)
- Supporting web analytics, conversion funnels, and traffic segmentation
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to model meaningful metrics and enable self-service reporting
- Working on internal AI initiatives like customer segmentation, recommendation systems, and self-healing data tools
- Continuously identifying areas to automate, streamline, or improve reliability
- Staying on top of industry trends in AI, ecommerce, and modern data tooling
The Analytics Engineer will have:
- Experience in data engineering, with a strong preference for GCP experience
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and at least one ELT / ELT tool
- Familiarity with GA360/GA4 and ecommerce/web analytics fundamentals
- Candidates would ideally come from ecommerce or retail
- Ability to translate business needs into robust data models
- Curiosity and proactiveness, especially around AI and emerging tech
- Comfortable working in a small team that spans a wide surface area—from CX to ops and inventory
- A background in retail, D2C, or multichannel ecommerce environments
The Analytics Engineer will join a growing data team, with a broad impact across the business. You’ll get space to experiment, autonomy to manage your time, and the chance to work on high-impact projects—from day-to-day operations through to cutting-edge AI innovation.
