Are you confident leading seasonal collections that blend brand DNA, commercial appeal, and trend relevance? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you can own the design process from concept to completion?

MacGregor Black is partnering with a Global Fashion Business on the search for a Senior Designer - Girlswear. This is a permanent role based in London.

As Senior Designer, you will take the creative lead across girlswear collections, building multi-product ranges that reflect a bold, luxurious, and trend-forward identity. Working closely with the Head of Girlswear, you will drive product direction and ensure each seasonal collection remains cohesive, commercial, and globally relevant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end design process across jersey, sweat, outerwear, knitwear, and lifestyle categories.
  • Build capsule collections that are brand-aligned, youth-focused, and globally resonant.
  • Translate seasonal concepts into colour palettes, fabric stories, and final product ranges.
  • Source and develop high-quality fabrics and handlooms that meet both creative and production needs.
  • Create technical drawings and CADs in line with the development calendar.
  • Conduct market, trend, and consumer research to guide design direction.
  • Work closely with Technical, Production, and Merchandising teams throughout development.
  • Participate in fit sessions and ensure product consistency in quality and fit.
  • Present collections to internal stakeholders and external licensing partners.
  • Support and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and in-country teams.
  • Travel as required to support product development and team collaboration.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Designer or Senior Designer within girlswear or womenswear.
  • Strong multi-product experience across lifestyle categories.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to present to stakeholders and brand partners.
  • Technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, and fabrics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD systems.
  • A creative yet commercial mindset with an eye for trend and innovation.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working to critical path deadlines.
  • Graphic/print design experience would be a bonus.
