We are a leading executive search firm specialising in Tech, HR, Sales and Finance. With external investment, weβre working with high-profile funds across the UK and globally. With a team of 80 professionals based in London, India and the US, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support our ambitious growth plans on a 9 β 12-month Maternity cover contract.
Role Overview
As Head of Operations, you will oversee the firm's day-to-day business operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, process management and improvement. You will be responsible for enhancing internal processes, managing key operational functions (HR, delivery ops, IT and sales operations) and working closely with senior leadership to implement best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Strategy & Business Management
- Execute an operational strategy aligned with business goals.
- Improve internal processes and systems to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Improve and implement technology solutions to enhance workflow and client delivery.
- Oversee business continuity planning and risk management.
- Work to ensure best-in-class talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Champion company culture, employee engagement, and DEI initiatives.
- Produce and oversee commercial agreements with clients.
- Improve operational efficiencies.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, ensuring business performance aligns with targets.
- Oversee CRM management, ensuring optimal usage.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, employment law, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with legal, IT, and compliance service providers.
- Oversee office operations and supplier relationships.
- Ensure a high-functioning hybrid working environment.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to improve cost-effectiveness.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar Head of Operations role ideally within a founder owned executive search, recruitment, or professional services.
- Proven track record in scaling and optimising operational processes.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and ATS platforms (e.g., Loxo or other CRMβs).
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive change in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
