This ambient food manufacturer in Wellingborough is about to undergo significant investment with a new production line. As the Reliability Manager, working alongside the maintenance manager, you will lead the engineering team to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespan. You will lead projects, develop predictive maintenance plans, and coach your team to ensure high standards of delivery. The company values its people, investing in the team and the plant, with plans to expand product lines over the next year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff to ensure high performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous improvement feedback.
- Implement and improve Asset Care strategies to prevent failures.
- Identify and eliminate failure modes through focused projects.
- Manage the site CMMS for accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance work with production planning.
- Ensure Food Safety compliance with GMP & HACCP standards.
- Manage statutory compliance requirements (Fire Alarm, LOLER, Pressure regulation, EICR, LEV).
- Develop and control the maintenance budget for cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and control maintenance expenditures.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Drive continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with facility management.
- Engineering HNC/Level 3 or equivalent industrial experience.
- Budget management experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in maintaining Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Strong influencing skills across organizational levels.
- IOSH certification; Food hygiene accreditation; experience with BRC and M&S audits (desirable).
Benefits
