Job Vacancy: Audio Visual Installation Engineer
APi Sound and Visual is seeking a full-time Audio Visual Installation Engineer due to expansion. The role involves designing, installing, and maintaining bespoke audio-visual systems across various sectors, predominantly in the church, heritage, education, and commercial sectors.
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a passion for AV technology and customer service. Training will be provided for specific skills and systems.
The Role:
- Install and service integrated AV systems, control systems, and network solutions.
- Work mainly in the field, with some preparation at the Exeter office.
- Travel across the South of England, London, Midlands, and Wales, with overnight stays as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time, with some solo work and service calls.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and maintain professionalism, representing the company positively.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and in teams, fixing equipment like screens and loudspeakers, and installing cables.
- Experience with audio/video cabling, soldering, and understanding schematics.
- Proficiency with power tools, basic woodworking, and safe fixing techniques.
- Comfort working at heights, with necessary certifications preferred.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience setting up sound systems, projectors, and understanding acoustics.
- Knowledge of IP CCTV systems, HDMI/video protocols, and H+S certifications.
- Interest in historic buildings and aesthetics.
- Own vehicle for business use, and necessary tech equipment provided.
Benefits include a permanent position, holiday entitlement, membership, training, and no weekend work. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £32,000 per year, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
