RC Operator Vanderlande is the market leader in efficient logistics process automation within the airports and parcel sector. In addition, we are a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses. Your role Working within IAG Cargo, the RC Operator will be performing RC duties to ensure productivity is maximised through MHCS equipment. Ensuring optimum availability & quality in accordance with agreed timescales. Ensure all activities are recorded using Maximo, and management teams and colleagues are updated with text message and shift logs. Ensure Health & safety compliance at all times. You will be performing the following tasks: To be proficient in all aspects of Remote Control Operation: · Cage Systems · ULD Systems · Visualisation · Maximo · CCTV · Send manning level and equipment out of service-SMS Message to be sent at start of each shift to BA operations, RC manager, Maintenance manager, Service manager if DM not present or unable to do so. · Ensure System checks are completed at the start of shift · Update the Shift Log and any other reports during the shift, recording all outages & incidents. · Record any non-conformance items that may impact performance, IE: Keying in errors, loose plastic, badly built ULD’s and loose freight in the system. · Be able to understand the impact of a single point break down on the overall material flow within Ascentis What we expect from you As an RC Operator you would be willing to assist and learn from a multi-disciplined team in a fast moving environment. We expect the following of you: · Interface to customer in a Professional and Courteous Manner either face to face, telephone, email. · Ensure contract SLAs are consistently achieved and improved · Willing to work shifts including nights · Provide cover for other RC Operators / Shifts when necessary · Knowledge of baggage, cargo handling systems or warehouse systems. · Knowledge of air freight systems.
