As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Bid Executive to join our Bristol office. This is a senior-level opportunity for a confident, strategic thinker to take ownership of key bids and help shape the future of our work-winning efforts.
This role will suit an experienced bid professional who is not only a talented writer and editor, but also an influential collaborator with the ability to lead on major opportunities, guide technical teams, and bring structure and consistency to high-value submissions.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development of high-quality, strategic bids for priority opportunities across our core sectors.
- Work in close partnership with directors, technical leads and senior stakeholders to shape bid strategies and win themes.
- Provide expert guidance on structure, tone, and messaging, ensuring bids are aligned with client drivers and Ridge's differentiators.
- Drive the end-to-end bid process, from early bid qualification and storyboarding through to final submission and presentation preparation.
- Conduct interviews and workshops with subject matter experts to extract high-impact content.
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve our library of case studies, project experience, and boilerplate content.
- Coach and mentor junior bid writers and team members, supporting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce polished, visually engaging documents.
- Track and analyse bid outcomes and client feedback to inform future strategy and content.
- Ensure full compliance with client, legal, and commercial requirements on all submissions.
What you'll bring:
- Substantial experience in a senior bid writing or bid management role, ideally within the built environment or related professional services sectors.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability able to articulate complex technical solutions in a persuasive, client-focused way.
- Proven track record of contributing to successful, high-value bids.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge and influence at senior levels.
