At Crowd Connected, we’re building the next generation of location intelligence. Our technology powers real-time tracking and insight for mobile apps, helping businesses better understand how people move through physical spaces—whether at a global music festival, inside a smart building, or across a university campus. We combine advanced indoor positioning, IoT, and machine learning to deliver solutions used by some of the world’s best-known brands and events. Our mobile SDKs for iOS and Android are core to our work, enabling location-aware experiences at scale—with over 10,000 new downloads of apps containing our code every day. As a growing scale-up, we operate with the agility and flexibility of a startup, backed by a strong foundation of proven products and deployments. We value autonomy, deep technical thinking, and motivated individuals who want to make a tangible impact.

The Role: Senior Mobile SDK Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our cross-platform mobile SDKs as we scale our technology and customer base in 2025 and beyond. You’ll be key in evolving our iOS and Android SDKs—built around CoreLocation, CoreBluetooth, and CoreMotion—working close to the metal to design and refine performant, reliable SDK components that integrate seamlessly with our customers’ apps. This role focuses on low-level problem solving, performance, and developer experience, rather than UI development. You’ll have autonomy in architecture decisions, contribute to product strategy, and support our developer community by ensuring smooth integration and documentation. If you’re a hands-on mobile engineer who enjoys focused, self-directed work and wants to build impactful technology—let’s talk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SDK Development: Optimize sensor performance, data handling, and network communication across Swift (iOS), Kotlin/Java (Android), and C (core engine).
  • Own iOS Expertise: Be the go-to for iOS development, ensuring SDK scalability, performance, and ease of integration aligned with developer needs.
  • Manage SDK Lifecycle: Oversee design, development, testing, and distribution via Carthage, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, and Gradle.
  • Ensure Quality & Stability: Use debugging and testing skills to maintain reliable SDKs, following best practices for production readiness.
  • Support Developers: Assist app developers with SDK integration, issue resolution, and onboarding.
  • Maintain Documentation: Write and update developer documentation for smooth integration.
  • Shape Roadmap & Strategy: Propose and prioritize new features based on feedback and technical insights.
  • Maintain Supporting Apps: Update demo, admin, and test apps to reflect SDK capabilities.
  • Develop New Tools: Create new apps for testing, demos, or admin purposes to support SDK development.

Nice to haves:

  • Android experience and willingness to learn Android development.
  • Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform, Bluetooth Low Energy, iBeacons, C, memory management, profiling, performance optimization, and cross-platform frameworks like React Native.
  • Flexible remote working options, budget for learning and development, and local benefits.

Core Values - CHILE: Collaboration, Honesty, Innovation, Learning, and Excellence—values that guide our work and culture.
