SC Interaction Designer

As an Interaction/UX Designer, you will: Create prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups, workflows, user flows, site maps, storyboards, interactive and graphic designs, and information architecture. Be proficient with tools such as Sketch, Invision Studio, Balsamiq, Axure, and GOV.UK Prototype Kit. Interpret evidence-based research to identify user issues, pain points, and needs, and incorporate insights from website, platform, and service engagement into your work. Develop solutions that address usability issues for a diverse population and engage those users effectively. Design a consistent user experience across mobile devices and desktop platforms. Collaborate with user researchers and content designers to test, iterate, and launch products and services that meet stakeholder expectations. Liaise with Product Owners and Stakeholders to clarify requirements. Work with Business Analysts to refine and update designs aligned with business needs. Coordinate with development teams to assess design feasibility and ensure proper transition of UX solutions into development. Skills we require: Ability to iterate rapidly on designs and generate multiple variants for testing. Develop interaction designs and user interfaces that meet user needs and accessibility standards. Deep knowledge and experience with user-centered design approaches. Effective communication across organizational and technical boundaries, understanding the context. Ability to identify user needs, engage with users and stakeholders, and utilize quantitative and qualitative data to focus on outcomes. Deliverables include information architecture, user journeys, task models, user flows, site flows, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes. Proficiency in prototyping in code, with understanding of security, accessibility, and version control. Knowledge of agile methodologies and applying an agile mindset.
