We learn from each other and strive to improve together. General Summary: This role reports to the Design Team Leader and is based in Maranello, Italy. The primary responsibility is designing F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments. Design of F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies. Conduct studies and create designs using solid and surface modelling and 2D drawings to develop high-performance, reliable solutions. Components include suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, cooling systems, and equipment for homologation and on-track management. Manage design mock-up activities within the design office. Follow all safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader. Education and Work Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required; further education such as a Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 in motorsports or F1 companies. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in English. Solid technical background in racing cars. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Quick decision-making and analytical problem-solving skills. Teamwork and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and willingness to assist others. Equipment and Applications: Proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of composites. Ability to comply with complex regulations regarding material shipment and facility maintenance. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Must work effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, with occasional domestic and international travel. Long, flexible hours including weekends may be required. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and manual dexterity. The environment involves machinery, race cars, rigs, debris, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
