We are looking for an experienced Governance Co-ordinator to join our GBS Finance Transformation Team at Inchcape. This key role will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a strong governance culture across our Finance Transformation projects, ensuring effective planning, communication, and adherence to processes. 12 month Fixed Term contract - with potential to extend.
As the GBS Governance Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance processes, ensuring that projects are well-documented, well-communicated, and aligned with our strategic objectives. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all Finance Transformation projects have accurate, complete plans with clear objectives and timelines, maintaining regular reporting to stakeholders, including building or designing the governance structure where it does not exist.
- Develop and maintain planning, reporting, and process documentation for the wider team, supporting key governance activities such as the Finance Design Authority, Finance Consultative Group, and Finance Transformation updates.
- Own and distribute the overall project overview for Finance Transformation, collaborating with the Head of Comms and Change.
- Chair key governance meetings, including Finance Design Authority and Finance Consultative Group, ensuring that agendas, actions, and follow-ups are documented and tracked.
- Collaborate with stakeholder teams (e.g., Distribution Excellence, IT, People Team) to ensure alignment and support across initiatives.
- Support the implementation of change as required, ensuring the delivery teams and broader teams are engaged with the evolving needs.
- Work closely with Group teams (e.g., Risk & Control) to document key risks, mitigations, and mitigation plans.
- Proven experience in executing and managing governance processes within a transformation environment, or creating the governance processes where they do not exist.
- Experience in centralised Finance processes within Record to Report, Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay, ideally in a centralised finance service model.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Experience in private sector, especially in the FMCG industry is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail in managing meetings, submissions, actions, and follow-ups.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Experience working with complex, fragmented systems landscapes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools like JIRA.
