Sentara is hiring a Chief Radiation Physicist at the Brock Cancer Center in Norfolk, Virginia. Sign-on Bonus: Up to $25,000 offered for qualified candidates!

Job Description:

  • Provides leadership and manages the work assignments, schedules, and functions of the Medical Physicists and Dosimetrists.
  • Responsible for overseeing the design, technical evaluation, and precise delivery of radiation treatment plans.
  • Develops and recommends new program services and treatment alternatives.
  • Ensures compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics certification.
  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics REQUIRED, PhD preferred.
  • CHP Certification OR ABR Certification REQUIRED.
  • 7 years Physicist experience REQUIRED.
