Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions of the organisation. They will work alongside other members of the FP&A team to provide high quality data and analyses to support decision-making, improve financial performance, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an understanding of financial metrics, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of payroll data across several entities and systems, including summarising data for payroll journal purposes. Support the development and maintain of financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and decision-making processes. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by gathering relevant data, analysing trends, and identifying key drivers. Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis between actual financial results and budget/forecast figures to identify discrepancies and underlying reasons. Reporting: Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and other stakeholders. Data Management: Manage financial data accurately and efficiently, ensuring data integrity and consistency across different platforms and systems. Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic initiatives and special projects. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance Control, and Finance Commercial, and the business to gather necessary information and insights for financial planning and analysis. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning and analysis activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Experience of financial planning & analysis. Experience using Prophix or a similar financial management platform) is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills. Experience with PowerQuery / Power BI is desirable. Part -qualified or QBE accountant. Understanding of Services and Technology businesses. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Work’s a treat!
