Description Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental l Planner to join our team. We are looking to add an Environmental Planner who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities and who can demonstrate professionalism and who are curious, self-motivated candidates capable of leading and supporting multiple planning projects. This position could be located out of any of our locations with the ability to work a hybrid schedule. What You Will Be Doing: Develop and/or guide the development of planning studies, technical memorandums, and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs, regulations, and proposed projects. Assisting Project Managers with transportation needs analysis, alternatives evaluation and screening, and impact assessments to the built and natural environments. Performing basic computations, researching and preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, and state/federal environmental documents. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor\’s Degree or Master\’s Degree in Urban and Regional Studies; Urban Planning; Geography; Public Administration or other applicable discipline from an accredited college AICP Certification strongly preferred Knowledge and prior experience with environmental review and documentation, as it pertains to compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) preferred Experienced in working with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and stakeholders on transportation projects Knowledge of transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional level Experience researching methods and statistical principles related to natural resource assessments, urban/rural growth and development Applied knowledge of methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations Experience writing and reviewing technical reports, including federal Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impacts Statements Salary Range: $55,000 – $85,000 depending on years of experience and credentials Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant\’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
