Building a sustainable tomorrow
BAM Infrastructure are currently involved in a major nuclear new build project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete structures, roads and complex multi-network installations. Due to a growing workload, we are now requiring a Senior Quality Manager to join our team.

Your mission
-
Lead in the preparation and operational monitoring of the project execution plan (PEP).

Support and advise the agent on the effectiveness of the project quality system and implementation of the PEP.

Lead project staff in preparing documented information required by the project and the PEP.

Advise and report on suitability of subcontractor and supplier quality systems.

Ensure an effective documented information control and archive system is established, implemented and maintained.

Lead the implementation of the quality system by the site team, subcontractors and suppliers. Support with the preparation of site procedures, activity plans and assurance records to ensure that staff have comprehensive and complete records for work carried out.

Establish and maintain the project programme of audits of BAM Nuttall work and subcontractors / suppliers and support the close-out of corrective actions.

Manage the interface with staff and customer representatives to ensure that problems of quality are solved promptly and efficiently.

Report monthly on the current status of the project systems, concerns, etc. to the agent and independently, to the BPQ Department representative.

Lead, co-ordinate, coach and develop quality staff within the project.

Maintain currency of knowledge in respect of emerging quality management techniques and practices.

Carry out other relevant duties from time to time.
Who are we looking for?
The following are required requirements:

Direct experience of planning, implementing, monitoring and improvement of quality management systems in relation to project activities.

Membership of, or working towards, a related professional body at \’member level, or equivalent.

Able to communicate with people at all levels.

Experience in managing, coaching and developing others.
-
Proficient in the application and use of information technology.
The following are desirable requirements:

Working knowledge of Lean construction practices and techniques.
-
Working knowledge of digital construction applications, platforms and practices.
-
IRCA lead auditor qualified.
-
Experience in mentoring others.
-
Degree level qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
-
Experience of working in construction project delivery.
