As part of their planned growth, we are seeking a bold, visionary, and creative Marketing & Communications Director to challenge outdated perceptions and transform the way our client presents themselves to the world. You will elevate their brand, enhance visibility and reputation in key markets, and drive client engagement through campaigns that are strategic, intelligent, and impossible to ignore.
There is a real desire from the board to invest heavily in the marketing team, recognising the importance of the marketing function as a key driver in their 10-year growth plan. As a senior leader, you will shape and deliver an integrated marketing and communications strategy that brings their business ambitions to life. You will inspire and empower a talented team of 12, work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, and lead on creative storytelling, thought leadership, digital presence, public relations, and client-centric campaigns.

- Design and deliver an integrated marketing and communications strategy aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives and growth aspirations.
- Lead brand positioning and identity, ensuring coherence and impact across all platforms and customer touchpoints.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on reputation management, crisis communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage the marketing and communications budget efficiently, ensuring strong return on investment across all campaigns and channels.
- Oversee all marketing activities, both digital and traditional, including public relations, content marketing, advertising, social media, events, and integrated campaigns.
- Promote a data-led approach to marketing and audience segmentation to drive engagement and conversion across client, partner, and candidate audiences.
- Steer the development and market launch of new propositions, services, and initiatives with robust go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
- Lead all external communications, encompassing media relations, press releases, editorial content, and thought leadership.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive crisis communications plan, ensuring clear procedures and readiness to safeguard brand reputation.
- Direct the internal communications strategy to engage and motivate employees, especially during times of organisational change or growth.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the new company website.
- Manage content strategy and output across all channels, ensuring it is high-quality, consistent with the brand, and engaging for target audiences.
- Drive digital innovation through website optimisation, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, and performance analytics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and communications team.
- Set clear objectives, provide coaching and opportunities for professional development, and cultivate a collaborative and creative team culture.
We’re looking for an engaging and passionate individual with a hunger to drive their business forward. Demonstrable experience in B2B marketing, preferably within professional services, consultancy, or the built environment sector is essential.
Solid track record of planning and delivering integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns - and leading teams to deliver the former. Skilled at converting business goals into persuasive and impactful marketing propositions. In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, content development, and lead generation strategies.
Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, technical teams, and external agencies. An analytical and data-focused approach, with experience in evaluating and refining marketing performance to maximise effectiveness. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
