The role of IT Reporting Analyst is essential for the ongoing maintenance, improvement, and monitoring of our data infrastructure and reporting. They will be responsible for gathering business requirements, being a key point of contact for the business on data and reporting infrastructure, managing development backlogs, incident management, and supporting projects that are revolutionising the way we collect, store, process, and utilise data. Understanding the need for change and the root cause of issues and providing a clear path to implementation and resolution is key to the role.
They will:
- Document and articulate the current data architecture in the business, including the SQL Data Warehouse, new and existing integrations.
- Work with Business Systems & Applications Manager to define data architecture and strategy for itsu.
- Develop and maintain backlog of requirements and prioritise development to align to project deliverables.
- Provide opportunities for improvement on how we can better leverage data to drive decision making and provide the capability to do so.
- Run maintenance activity for data including basic SQL scripts for updating records.
- Collaborate with IT teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Create documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate the adoption of reporting solutions across the organization.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and reporting.
- Work with the Business Systems Applications Manager and Tech team to deliver well-supported new technical capabilities and change management to the business.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and logical thinker with a real desire to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
- Proven experience (3 years) working as a reporting analyst or similar role, preferably in an IT environment.
- Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI; preferred.
- Skills in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis; preferred.
- Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.
- Experience in supporting data issues within business systems.
- Experience of the retail environment or an area of the QSR business process would be an advantage.
