Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm

The role of an IT Operations Manager, reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for a small highly skilled IT engineering team to provide service desk management (ITIL/ITSM), BAU and deliver projects set out by the head of IT. You will have a wide scope of general IT infrastructure skills and experience in the pursuit of delivering a high standard of work to both the user communities and change projects.
You will also lead on acquisitions, from start to finish. Good communication skills with project management are essential to deliver an excellent integration program.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Experience in managing an IT service desk, using ITIL/ITSM principles
- Proven leadership skills in motivating and supporting a team under strict SLAs
- Weekly reports on KPIs to Head of IT
- Project owner of acquisitions
- Be highly focused on service delivery, with a proven ability to continually improve processes and procedures across the existing IT complex
- Be flexible to travel to sites when required
Service Desk Management
- Assign tickets
- Monitor ticket priorities
- Monitor escalations & SLA breaches
- Review captured data categories in tickets
- Identify problems (ITIL principle) and provide permanent solutions
- Develop BAU processes within service desk application
- Produce weekly MI on SLA delivery
- Promote a strong work ethic within the IT support team
Acquisitions
- Own the full integration of newly acquired dental practices/labs
- Flag any issues around commercial contracts pre completion
- Site survey
- CAPEX
- Change of ownership for existing commercial contracts
- Project plan integration of IT/VOIP
- Deliver integration of practices within set timescales from Head of IT
Change Projects
- Deliver projects set out by the Head of IT within set timelines
- Ability to organise and prioritise day to day vs projects
Management Information
- Generate reporting packs for the head of IT
Budget Management
- Responsible for day to day procurement of equipment, under set budgets
