CAD Technician Temporary Works

Can be based anywhere in the UK

Reporting to: Grangemouth/Solihull/Warrington/Annesley

What you will be doing:

As a CAD Technician you will be involved in the production of CAD Design in compliance with our internal Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations. As an integral part of the Temporary Works and Geotechnical team, you will be required to work on drawings and designs for a wide range of projects, utilising your Civil 3d and AutoCAD expertise to support precontract and delivery teams across all Business Units of Galliford Try.

The CAD Technician will participate in creating a safe working environment on assigned projects and act as the key contact for project BIM technical requirements and respond to the Clients technical requirements., In addition to working on some of the UKs most exciting construction projects we offer a comprehensive benefits package to including a competitive salary, car or car allowance, pension, healthcare, discretionary bonuses and 28 days holiday plus bank holidays. About the Team:

Our Environment Business provides ‘source to sea’ asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland working on both Frameworks and Standalone projects. Since AMP3 we have delivered in excess of £2bn assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. As an established player in the market this a great opportunity to join the team at a time of transformation as we shape ourselves to be fit for delivery in a future digital world. We have recently secured a plethora of places on the AMP7 Frameworks for Yorkshire Water, Southern Water and Thames Water for both Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects ranging from £1-40m over the next five years.

You will have detailed knowledge of ISO19650, associated standards and can develop and apply BIM documentation and workflow process standards including CDE awareness using our preferred platform of Viewpoint for Projects (VfP) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

You will also have:

  • Necessary qualifications to be accepted to undertake a qualification in a recognised relevant Subject to HNC / Degree Level.

  • Knowledge of The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.

  • Having or working towards membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. IMechE).

  • Civils 3D (required)

  • AutoCAD 2D/3D (required)

  • Autodesk Vehicle Tracking (desirable)

  • Reinforced Concrete Detailing Experience (desirable)

  • Revit (Desirable)

  • ReCAP Pro (desirable)
